All certification appointments require the following documents:

Proof of all household income (past 30 days)
Proof of residency (address)
Proof of identification

* Child immunization records, if applicable
* Medical documentation forms and/or Health Referrals, if applicable

*Please note, that these documents are not required for a mid-certification appointment, unless otherwise stated by your WIC office.

WIC Shopping Tips

Before you shop, check your benefit balance:

Download from Google Play Store

Call the customer service number on the back of your card 1-833-715-0794.
Ask your store’s cashier or customer service for a Benefit Balance receipt.
Check your balance on your last receipt.

Know your PIN for your NJ eWIC Card.
To reset your PIN:

Call the customer service number on the back of your card at 1-833-715-0794 .
Go online at https://www.mybnft.com/Login#!/.
Contact your WIC office.

Choose WIC Approved foods at the store.

Refer to your Benefit Balance.
Use the NJ WIC Food & Program Guide and/or WICShopper app to see approved foods.
Use the WICShopper app’s Scan Barcode feature.
Buy what you need, when you need it! Keep in mind your Last Date to Use and be sure to get your WIC items before they expire.
Please note: Stores are not required to carry all brands listed in this guide.

At the check-out:

eWIC card must be present at the time of check-out.

Tell the cashier that you are using an eWIC Card.
Some stores may require you to separate WIC items from other purchases.
Swipe your eWIC card and enter your 4-digit PIN.
Keep your store receipt for your remaining balance.
Use another form of payment for non-WIC items such as SNAP, debit card, cash, etc.

These steps may vary from store to store.

Take care of your eWIC Card.

Only allow people you trust with your card and PIN to shop for you.

If your eWIC card is lost, stolen or damaged, contact your WIC office to get a new card. You can also cancel your card by contacting customer service by calling or visiting:

Breastfeeding

WIC Breastfeeding support includes:

Access to breastfeeding experts in every WIC local agency.
Prenatal classes and postpartum support groups.
Peer counselors who offer mother-to-mother support, including after hours.
A larger food package benefit for mothers who are breastfeeding.
A larger food package benefit for breastfed babies, starting at 6 months old.
Assistance obtaining a breast pump for mothers who need them.
A community of breastfeeding support.
